THE VISION THING.

As usual, this year's NAB was not an outwardly audio-centric affair. It didn't help matters much that the majority of audio vendors attending were exiled to the Las Vegas Convention Center and randomly dispersed among radio-broadcast-oriented manufacturers, whether they had anything in common or not. Regardless, the trend toward an all-digital audio landscape was reflected by just about every product being developed. Most vendors appeared to be ready to embrace Surround Sound applications and the various DVD formats in existence, as well as those coming to the fore.
